Regional Fireside with Barbara Morgan Gardner – The Priesthood Power of Women
23 May 2021 @ 7:00 pm - 8:30 pm
The Edmonton Young Single Adult Stake is hosting a fireside with Barbara Morgan
Gardner, an associate professor of Church history and doctrine at Brigham Young
University. Sister Gardner serves as the chaplain-at-large in higher education for
The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints, and with the BYU Interfaith
Outreach Council. Sister Gardner has shared her research and insights in the
Ensign, Liahona and the LDS Living podcast “All In”.
Sister Gardner will be discussing “The Priesthood Power of Women”. In her book,
published in 2019, Sister Gardner states: “No matter how much we think we know
about the gospel, and especially the priesthood, there is obviously much more we
need to learn. We study the priesthood because we love it, we want to draw upon
its authority and power, and we want to help others be empowered as well.”
We invite you to join us for this fireside and take the opportunity to better
understand priesthood authority, privilege, and power as it applies to women and
men.
The fireside will be broadcast on:
