A Stake is a collection of Wards - congregations whose members help and support each other. Wards have a geographic or demographic boundary. You should attend the ward whose boundary you live in. In some cases, specialty wards might exist to help those with specific language or life circumstances to be together and support each other. There might be both general wards and specialty wards available to you in your area, and you should feel free to pick which one is best for you and your spiritual progression.
